About us

About us

Our ministry was founded on April 10th, 1999 when the First Conference for Widows and Orphans was conducted in Russia. The topic of the Conference was trust your widows into my care" (Jeremiah 49:11)

Two conferences were conducted in 2000 – in Moscow and in Kursk, Russia – with 80 and 60 widows in attendance plus orphans. A the same time seminars were held for pastors and lay leaders on this important issue: "True devotion, the kind that is pure and faultless before God the Father, is this: to care for orphans and widows in their difficulties and to keep the world from contaminating us." James 1:27

In the next several years a number of conferences were held in Ukraine and in Russia. Widows were provided with material support donated by the brothers and sisters from American churches.

In 2007 the first three days long international Congress of widows and orphans was conducted for over 200 widows from 15 countries.

At the 2009 Conference the Day of Visitation and Compassion to the Widow and Orphan was established on the 2nd Sunday of March – the day when special sermons are preached in churches and "made the widow's heart sing" (Job 29:13)

Since 2001 the ministry materially supports summer camps for orphans.

The grand total of widows touched by this ministry is around 3,400 (plus orphans).

The ministry receives dozens of letters from widow and from church leaders expressing their gratitude to the Lord for the joy, encouragement and support they have received from Him through their participation in the conferences, material and prayer support of brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world.
